BBM officially updates to BBM 7 with voice available in App World
Here are some other great features you’ll love in BBM 7:
- BBM upgrade notifications – BBM will notify you when there are updates to download straight from within the app
- BBID Synchronization – your BBM profile, Groups and Contacts are linked to your BlackBerry ID
- 16 Additional emoticons – even more choice for those times when words just aren’t enough. Can you spot the new ones? *Drool*
Update notification through App World might take up to 24 hours to show up, but a reboot sometimes speeds up the process. Also please note, that BBM 7 also updates the BBM association with BlackBerry ID which will make backing up your contact list a lot easier, as well a switching devices.

BBM Voice updated to Ver 7.0.0.100 in Beta Zone

- BBM chats were not restored during device upgrade. User has to sign into BBID and then re-restore the chats from the backup file.
- Incoming call doesnt ring if user is in camera app
- Speaker enabled when incoming call rejected and already on BBM Voice call
- Messages from BBM Voice are cut off frequently
- Device switch failed, client stuck at "Restoring BBM" state
- After hanging up after a voice chat longer than 5 minutes, the device that did not hang up remains on the calling screen
